The art always gets carried away. In this creation of The Hiker, the apple and the star show you that he is seeking wisdom, knowledge, and peace. To find these things, he must traverse many obstacles, some of which are seemingly impassable.

The original work was created with Prismacolor pencils on 9"x12" vellum.

Thank you. I will never give up traditional art for computer production. I was even thinking today, as I was photographing this piece, that I love the way the piece smells with the Prismacolor wax all over it. I guess they'll have to invent scratch-and-sniff monitors for digital artists to get that ;)
