Piece 5 in the series of "Coffee Girls". With this piece I switched up the layout, background patterns and even re-stylized the hair from the previous 4 girls. The size is smaller too, at 4"x6". Prismacolor pencils on illustration board. Outline is ink.
Im starting to think that your tremendous surge/output of fantastic art has been attributed to drinking alot of coffee in these shops!!!Haa Great work man..Kinda has an awesome "pop"-mod-60's feel!
Actually, I never really leave the house. I went to church Sunday and the car caught on fire. Seriously. Maybe it's coming from my desire to go to a coffee shop?
Awesome. Yes, this is available as a print. (Signed if you get it through me). I'm glad you like the ones you got. I wasn't sure about the quality of DA prints. I've never gotten one.
Theres no escape from the magical work-environment/inner-sanctum monster that youve created.I have the same thing bry..I went to K-Mart last night with my daughter to buy my wife something,yes-I actually ventured out of the house and found myself kickin it with the homies in their smoking area.Just like old times when I was out in the sector/world in groups focused on frivolity and getting through a pay-perod...I came home and said "I aint painting anymore..Im goin' to work at K-MART!!!" She gave a half smile and said "Mannnn-theres a whole world out there that you just dont know.." Committing to creating is isolating and worrysome at times bro no doubt..Balance is the answer, and coffee tastes better when your not sipping it at home..(Mobility prayer!)
It's all good. I've always been a recluse. I do play bass for the church worship band, so I get out for that. I also get out to bug all the local galleries and coffee shops so they will know I am here and ready to hang. Tuesday nights are microbrew nights at Old Chicago, so I usually make it for that. (One guilty pleasure, but I always stop after 2 brews). You know, come to think of it, working at K-Mart would get a nice discount on Dickies! I wear Dickies all the time. Hmmm........
Wow-You have wayyyyyy more of a life than I do dude..but as long as Im doing what I love-I have the right to be poopy pants or, in your case....POOPY DICKIES!!!
Thank. The coffee girls may not be my most profound work, but they are just a lot of fun to create. I really get to mess around with color, and that's something I really enjoy! Thanks for checking them out

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
