"Oh, Grow up" is satirically named, and themed in a lost childhood motif. The toys are following the trail of some elusive adult's footprints. The moon is tired, because these poor toys live in perpetual darkness. This piece is not just intended to be sad, but to remind children (and adults) to hold on to their dreams and never let go of their imagination, no matter what.
AVAILABLE - The actual art measures 18"x24" and is chalk pastels on illustration board. The work has been matted in beige, which creates a perfect contrast to the white stars, and a compliment to the sand-colored dolls. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on.
